Join myself and Fashion designer/Tutor Katie Lycett on this enjoyable and informative weekend course, and learn how to create pattern blocks for different skirt styles, using your personal measurements.
Katie has over 10 years experience working in the fashion and costume industry, and has designed and pattern cut for a wealth of high street brands including; Red or Dead and Biba, as well as produced bespoke garments for the ballroom dance industry.
Day 1: You will learn how to measure your body correctly in order to skirt pattern blocks, and paper patterns that fit you perfectly.
You will take away a perfectly fitting skirt toile and block, with pockets, yoke and waistband.
Day 2: You will use your block to design and make a skirt to your own style and specification, with your chosen fabric.
- No experience of pattern cutting is needed, but you must be able to use a sewing machine.
- All materials for blocks and toiles are included.
