So, what do you do if you find it hard to buy clothes to fit you perfectly, and let’s be honest, it’s that perfect fit that ensures you look fabulous and feel confident. Whatever your body shape, most are not a standard size!

Your tutors – Danielle and Katie

Join myself, and fashion designer/tutor Katie Lycett, for this 2 day, weekend, course and learn how to measure and draft your own pattern pieces, to make clothes that fit your body accurately through the art of Pattern Cutting.

On this exciting beginners course you will practice how to use pattern drafting equipment, use specialist terminology and learn how to draw with accuracy and confidence to create your own bodice block that fits your body shape perfectly.

Creating a range of working patterns, and using different style lines and dart details, you will choose your favourite working pattern to take forward into a toile of your bodice.

You will take away your bodice blocks and toiles, and a technical manual; all materials are provided.

Katie has over 10 years experience working in the fashion and costume industry, and has designed and pattern cut for a wealth of high street brands including; Red or Dead and Biba, as well as produced bespoke garments for the ballroom dance industry.
